This manual applies to the INDMEM 3‑bay Type‑C hard drive docking station duplicator. The device supports 2.5/3.5‑inch SATA HDD/SSD and NVMe M.2 SSD, with NVMe transfer speeds up to 10Gbps and SATA speeds up to 6Gbps. It is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux systems, and supports both computer read‑write mode and offline cloning mode.

Computer Read‑Write Mode

1. 1. Insert the hard disk into the corresponding slot.
2. 2. Connect the Type‑C cable to the computer and connect the power adapter.
3. 3. Turn on the power.
4. 4. For used hard drives: The computer will recognize the disk directly.
5. 5. For new hard drives: Enter Windows Disk Management, right‑click the disk, select New Simple Volume, and complete partitioning and formatting.

Partition Format Recommendation Capacity ≤ 2TB: Select MBR Capacity ＞ 2TB: Select GPT

Offline Clone Mode

Important Notes

Cloning will overwrite all data on the target disk. Please back up important data in advance.

The target disk capacity must be equal to or larger than the source disk capacity.

Disconnect the Type‑C computer cable during offline cloning. NVMe1 can only be used as the source disk, not as the target disk.

Clone Directions

1. 1. NVMe1 → NVMe2
2. 2. NVMe1 → SATA
3. 3. SATA → NVMe2
4. 4. NVMe2 → SATA

Offline Clone Steps

1. Insert the source disk and target disk.
2. Use the clone direction switch to select the correct cloning direction.
3. Connect only the power adapter. Disconnect the Type‑C cable from the computer.
4. Press the Clone button to start cloning.
5. The clone progress will be shown through the 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% LEDs.
6. Cloning time depends on hard disk capacity and data volume. Do not remove the hard disk or disconnect power during cloning.

Troubleshooting

1. 1. SSD Not Detected Only NVMe M.2 SSD is supported. SATA protocol M.2 SSD is not supported. Do not hot‑swap hard disks. Turn off the docking station before inserting or removing disks. If a cloned disk shows a disk signature conflict, go to Disk Management and set the offline disk to Online.
2. 2. Offline Clone Cannot Start Confirm the Type‑C cable is disconnected. Restart the docking station. Confirm the target disk capacity is greater than or equal to the source disk capacity.
3. 3. Cloning Stops Unexpectedly The source disk or target disk may have bad sectors. Replace the hard disk and try again.
4. 4. Cloned Disk Capacity Not Fully Displayed If the target disk is larger than the source disk, create a new volume for the unallocated space in Disk Management.

Important Safety Notes

Disconnect the computer Type‑C cable before offline cloning. The hard disk may become hot during operation. Avoid touching the hard disk directly. NVMe1 can only be used as the source disk during cloning. Do not power off the device or remove the hard disk during cloning.
